how to pass css exam

Two things matter most to succeed in CSS which are as follows:
.
‘Planning’ is the first step towards success. Unplanned efforts bring unpredictable results, so you should develop detailed study plans which are strictly followed. Every student has daily targets to achieve. Thus the progress is quite visible and track-able. This clarity brings further motivation in students to strive further.
.
To succeed in CSS is possible only after having excellent command over English Language. More than 70% candidates fail in Essay or Précis & Composition papers. Yet, no CSS academy teaches English Language in the preparation classes. When a student can not write flawless English, how Essay-writing techniques or précis writing tips can benefit him/her or save him/her from failure.
All CSS aspirants must bear in mind that every grammatical error causes them to loose a mark. It is more than obvious that an otherwise great essay having only 40 grammatical errors can doom the fate of a candidate even if he/she has passed in rest of the papers.

Please, Appreciation is required from you for this little effort. Thnks

Tips And Tricks For C.S.S Exams 2014

Important: Tips And Tricks For C.S.S Exams 2014.
1. For preparation study 8-10 hours a day and do sleep 7 hours everyday in order to maintain yourself physically healthy.

2. Writing practice is very important and in C.S.S exams, there are no lines in the answer sheet and the pages are plain white, so you must do writing practice on white plain sheet in order to manage balance on your lines in your answer sheet.

3. quantity has no importance but qualities is the basic key to success in giving answer to the question in the exams because in C.S.S exams questions are of analytical type and answer are needed in the form of arguments, comments and conclusions in your own words.

4. in every paper there are 30 marks of m.c.q’s. so prepare well mcq’s because 35 are passing marks in every paper and the marks you earn from mcq’s play vital role in it.

5. Everyday science paper is very easy.50 marks of m.c.q’s and 50 marks of short questions. Every day science paper includes( biology, physics, chemistry, environmental science, I.T and general science ) .physics, biology and chemistry is off f.s.c standard.
6. Islamiyat can be given both in urdu and English. But islamiyat paper is based on analytical study and general knowledge about islam. So prepare all the topics which are related to islam and Islamic world in past, present and future and problems of islamic world.

7. For current affair paper there is no need of buy any books. All the topics can be covered through internet and news papers.
8. Only blue, Black, Pencil is allowed in examination hall and strict instruction are given in the 1st page of answer sheet about using of color pens.

9. Mobiles are not allowed in examination hall and even if you bring it, your mobile is taken and kept locked in a cupboard.

10. Original I.D card and original roll number slip are checked form time to time during exams, so its better to bring them in every paper.

11. Both mcq’s sheet and answer sheet is given at the same time, so its better to do m.c.q’s quick in order to save time for the last question, which you will attempt in the end of paper.

12. In English essay paper always make rough outline on page 25 of your answer sheet and when you are done then make fair copy of it on 1st page of answer sheet.

13. Page number 24 and 25 in your answer sheet can be used for rough work; instruction about rough work is clearly given on 1st page of answer sheet. After doing rough work on 24 and 25 page, cross them with black pen.

14. Date sheet is very tough, no holidays between paper’s, continuous paper on everyday basis, two papers a day (9-12a.m and 2-5p.m), 6 hours of paper giving everyday. All 12 papers are taken in just 7-8 days. Do bring sweets with you in order to maintain your sugar level during paper; specially the second paper (2-5p.m) needs lots of sweets because sugar level is down in the evening time. And your brain and fingers won’t work properly due to shortage of sugar level in your body..

17. General knowledge papers (everyday science, pak-affairs and current affairs) are based on collective marks system. You need 120 marks in total to pass these three papers collectively.(e.g you got 20 marks in everyday science, 50 marks in pak-affairs and 50 marks in current affairs, so in total its 120 marks, so you have passed collectively all he general knowledge section on exams, your everyday science paper is considered passed on the basis of collective marks system)

Mohmmad Ali Jinnah

If Louis Mountbatten, Jawaharlal Nehru or Mahatma Gandhi had been aware in April 1947 of one extraordinary secret, the division threatening India might have been avoided. That secret was sealed onto the gray surface of a piece of a film, a film that could have upset the Indian political equation and would almost certainly have changed the course of Asian History. Yet so precious was the secret that that film harbored that even the British C.I.D., one of the most effective investigative agencies in the world was ignorant of its existence.

The heart of the film was two dark circles no bigger than a pair of Ping Pong balls. Each was surrounded by an irregular white border like the corona of the sun eclipsed by moon. Above them, a galaxy of little white spots stretched up the film’s gray surface towards the top of the thoracic cage. That film was an X-RAY, the X-ray of a pair of human lungs: tuberculosis was devouring the lungs pictured in the X-ray. The lungs depicted on them belonged to the rigid and inflexible man who had frustrated Louis Mountbatten’s effort to preserve India’s unity. Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the one unmovable obstacle between the Viceroy and Indian unity, was living under a sentence of death. [1]

When his friend Dr. Patel revealed this sad news to Jinnah, he received an impassive face of an old man, who was not a normal patient. It hurted when lungs were being eroded with every breath of a cold Indian salty air in Bombay, but something deep in his heart was more painful than this fatal reality that he has been blessed with death ticket by incurable cancer of TB. “Nothing” Jinnah observed his verdict as recorded by Dr Patel in May 1946 at Bombay’s Grand Railroad station, “except grave is going to turn me from the task I have been given by Moslems of India at this critical juncture of history.”

So as promised by his friend Dr Patel, no one got any hint about his criticality and pain. He never shared pain; he never showed any ridicule event due to his shaking lungs in public, since his will was unshakeable that commands his posture in great fury of debates with two enemies at same time. “Speed,” Jinnah had told Mountbatten in their maiden discussion of India’s future, was, the essence of the contract.” [1]

It is quite easy to understand the importance of an old man in this constitutional war, who was a man of unassailable personal honesty and financial integrity, his canons were sound law and sound procedures. He never used classic politician’s techniques to win publicity, unlike Ghandhi and Nehru he never visited any jail for any breach of law of land whatever that was. Stanley Wolpert could not find better words to inscribe a historical preface about his quarter century research on one of the greatest men of history than

“Few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation state. Muhammad Ali Jinnah did all three. ……Quid-I-Azam was one of recent history’s most charismatic leaders….” [2]

Evenly charming personality among women of high prestige in India he never tumbled throughout his life. “Tall and stately,” wrote poetess Sarojini Naidu as she met him first in 1906 on the occasion of his joining Indian National Congress in annual session of Calcutta, “but thin to the point of emaciation, languid and luxurious of habit, Mohammad Ali Jinnah’ s attenuated form is a deceptive sheath of a spirit of exceptional vitality and endurance. Some what formal and fastidious, and little aloof and imperious of manner, the calm hauteur of his accustomed reserve but masks, for those who know him, a naïve and eager humanity, an intuition quick and tender as a woman’s, a humor gay and winning as a child’s –preeminently rational and practical, discreet and dispassionate in his estimate and acceptance of life, the obvious sanity and serenity of his worldly wisdom effectually disguise a shy and splendid idealism which is of the very essence of the man” [3]

Jinnah, due to his personal skills and energy in his words, he was permitted to speak in the council’s meeting in 1912 though he was not the formal member of Muslim League. On pressing demands from Syed Wazir Hussain (1874-1947), permanent secretary of league, he agreed to join Muslim League conditionally. [4] At that time, he was just more than a lawyer, an elected member of the council from Bombay Muslim seat, and there could be no question any hidden agenda that Jinnah could had manipulated.
One cannot negate this fact that in his early political career, he was the preacher of unity among Muslims and Hindus. And he tried for their reconciliation and well he was the only man who succeeded in his efforts to bring two banks of river together, and it is history that this was the first and last attempted effort termed as Lucknow Pact.

An insight reveals that at that time Muslim League was emerging as new political force in India, and it was quite logical for Jinnah to blend these two forces against an alien ruler. And compromise actually made both parties at ease. If for a moment, both nations could had tried a joint venture for independence, things would had been shaped in a different way. But this was the case for Pakistan, since both parties actually failed for any reconciliation and both opted for their own destination. As a matter of fact, Congress shared a big portion in this context without any prejudice of reality as events especially partition of Bengal, Hindi Urdu controversy etc. And as a shrewd lawyer he always believed in a constitutional way to win the game. He warned Ghandi in Khalifaat movement episode about the blood stained consequences for Indians, as he smelled and openly declared that Indian Nation is too naïve for such a movement, whatever the silver linings are observed by the historian, miseries of Muslims simply out numbered them on any rational ground as predicted by Jinnah. It is not the question of being on the side of Muslims or Hidus, it is a simple question of your farsightedness, and Jinnah did what he thought right and what he stood aloof and did not jump into the bandwagon of publicity like Ghandhi. History recorded that Jinnah never made a mistake, a meticulous, analytical and a rational lawyer was getting tough on British day by day.

EGYPT CRISIS

Two years back, Tahrir square was flooded with masses that were raising slogans against the atrocious and rigour rule of Hosni Mubarak comprising of more than five decades. The sprawling masses resisted against the long dictatorial rule of Hosni Mubarak. They want to get rid of precarious crisis which ushered complete turmoil in the life of every individual. They resisted against it zealously and at last surmounted this excruciating phase of humiliation.
But now after two years, Egypt is standing on the same position. Egypt is once again witnessing another overthrow of the government. This time, it is a democratic elected government. Egyptian masses are not able to comprehend that democratic transitions are always never easy and hasty. Democracy is not an event, it is a process. Democracy is that plant which needs ample time to nurture properly.
I am vexed and flabbergasted at the attitude of Egyptian people. They longed for a democratic government but after its arrival they longed for its departure. But there are several reasons which lead to such movements.
Mohammad Morsi became President on June 30, 2012 by fair elections. Morsi belonged to Muslim Brotherhood which is considered to be a conservative and ideological. So, Morsi tried to mould the constitution and laws into conservative, ideological and Islamic way. The majority of Egypt’s revolutionary class consists of youth, and it is the matter of fact that youth is always radical and liberal. So they properly denounced this act of Morsi and declared it null and void. Secondly, after acquiring power Morsi removed top military brass in order to consolidate his position. And also by passing several ordinances he tried to limit the power of judiciary. Opposition parties and military felt danger that Morsi wanted to centralize the power in his own hand and he may also become autocratic. The economy was also deteriorating in his regime, energy crisis was on zenith and the people were fed up with this poor form of governance. Criticism on human rights was also on peak and the brutal attacks on Coptic Christians and Shias added fuel to the fire.
Due to all these deplorable issues, strikes and resistances emerged against Morsi in Tahrir square and once again they surmounted the so called crisis with the help of Army. On the other hand, Morsi was sinking into the deep sea of despair and at last capitulated.
This creates an ambiguity here whether the masses are so powerful at Tahrir square that they can easily overthrow any government they want or there is any foreign hand which is playing a vital role in Arab Spring.

THE MEANING AND PURPOSE OF EDUCATION

Birds and animals require little teaching or training to lead a successful bird or animal life. They know how to make a home or shelter for themselves and how to keep themselves alive instinctively . the instinct of self-preservation is implanted in them by nature. They are given certain faculties which develop to their maximum level with their physical growth without much conscious effort on their part or on the part of their parents. Not so with man . his intellectual growth depends on many outside factors and cannot attain maturity without long and deliberate effort on his part and on the part of his well wisher. a forest can grow by itself naturally but a garden can not . there is a highly thought-stimulating dialogue in Iqbals PIYAM-I-MASHRIQ .. (message of the East), in which God accuses man of having spoiled Nature by his divisive and destructive enterprises and man retorts by quoting examples how he has improved upon God’scrude creation:-
*POEM WRITEN IN URDU and its paraphrasing given below:
GOD
I created the entire world from the same water and clay , but you have created Iran, Tartary and Negro Land . I created pure steel from Dust and you have created the sword, the arrow and the musket.
You have created the axe to mow down the garden trees and have built up the cage for confining the singing birds.
MAN
You created the night, I created the lamp ; you created the clay, I created the cup. You created deserts, hills and meadows; I have created avenues, flower-beds and gardens.
I fashion a mirror from stone and I prepare an antidote from poison.
From these examples, it appears that Nature by itself does not perfect everything.
A flower is pretty by itself but a diamond requires a lot of cutting and polishing before it will sparkle and scintillate into thousand colours . Man is like a rough diamond and requires filing and polishing before all his faculties can function fully. Education is just this filing and polishing of the human personality so that it reaches its full development. It enables one to lead a better life physically, mentally and spiritually.
Now a man possess a mind , a spirit and a body . so education has a three-fold purpose. It aims at his physical , mental and spiritual well-being . it keeps the body fit and healthy , the mind sound and vigorous and the spirit fine and sensitive . As the health of the body is the first requisite of all human activities and is indispensable for all progress, so education must first of all enable a person who live hygienically and to earn an honest living. This basic education is most often neglected is our country and is in fact, the cause of most of troubles. The man who cannot support himself and his family is only half-educated. The man who does not know the rules of hygiene and cleanliness is even worse . He is a menace to society itself.
A knowledge of the laws of health and their faithful observance are integral part of physical education .Appropriate food and clothing and clean ways of living play an important part in building up one’s health. Physical exercise is essential to true education . it gives a healthy tone to the different organs of our body and makes them thoroughly strong and fit for doing their duty . Bodily strength is as much needed as intellectual activity is ensuring success in life . physical exercise is, therefore, an essential requisite which every man and woman should cultivate . if we want to be strong , healthy and free from disease , we should take regular exercise. Those who use their brain great deal, should not neglect to take part in some kind of athletic sport, if they want to free from disease that are contracted by sedentary habits .there are different kinds of physical exercise such as walking , riding , gymnastics and games .Walking is the easiest of all kinds of healthful exercises and is suited to alike. The Western games which are popular in our country are cricket ,football, hocky, and tennis. They are very useful in making our limbs strong and in uniting us together by bonds of friendship and fellow co-ordination . the advantages of physical exercise are manifold . it increases our appetite and enables us to digest our food properly. It enables us to bear fatigues and exposure without any trouble. It prevents us from falling a victim to many fell diseases and thus makes us not only healthy but also happy and cheerful .
Then education should also sharpen our mental faculties and develop them fully. It should remove superstition , prejudice and bigotry. The mind should be able to seek truth in everything and to see things as they are, impartially and objectively . the first and last thing that is demanded of man is love of truth. Nothing great in science has ever been achieved by men ,whatever their powers,in whom the divine inspiration of the truth-seeker was wanting. G.E Lessing, the great German philosopher, has beautifully said: “ if God held enclosed in His right hand all truth, and in His left simply the ever-moving impulse towards truth, and said to me ,”Choose!” I would humbly bow before His left hand, and say, “ Father , give! Pure truth is for thee alone. “we should be able to perceive the distinction between right and wrong , between true and false . if fact, this power of discrimination is the highest function of the mind and can come only to those who are really educated . This also includes the ability to distinguish between the essential and the inessential, between the fundamental and accidental. Above all , education should enable a person to think for himself and decide for himself , This free in our educated classes .their minds are galley-slaves that can only move in fixed grooves and accept slavishly the thoughts and opinions of others.
The third aspect of education concerns the spirit. Even if a person is healthy in body and sound in mind , something is missing . even if one can live decently and can think logically and reasonably, his education is not complete. One must be able to feel humanely and to act rightly. A well-educated man must be refined in his thoughts and kind in his intentions. His will should be fashioned according to the highest principles of conduct and feeling . if vulgarity and cruelty survive education , it is not worth the name . if a man is gross in his thoughts and dull and beastly in his feelings, he is uneducated.
Now ,while the first aspect education is most essential , the other two are more important. When a man has been so educated that he keeps physically fit and can earn a livelihood ,he comes to the level of animals only, who at their very birth are equipped with the means of keeping themselves healthy and finding their food and drink. But man can not rise higher than animals till he first reaches this level. Hence , this aspect of education comes first and is an essential steppingstone to higher attainments. The second aspect is naturally more important than this . the chief distinction between man and animal is the power of thinking .the proper functioning of this makes man a rational being ..but even then he remains a rational animal . it is the third aspect of education , the development of his ethical and spiritual stature that makes man a real man – the roof and crown of things in the words of Tennyson; a being on a higher plane than mere animal , an object of reverence for angels. The neglect of this aspect of education has been the ruin of the West and will be ruin of the East as well, if we slavishly follow in its footsteps. It is the cause of ruthlessly devasting wars and the atrocities that are daily committed by the so called educated men. Education does not merely mean the ability to satisfy our animal needs in a better way than cats and dogs . so far as man caters to his physical needs or provides for his material comfort , e is only a little better than beasts. Surely a man requires something more than material comforts and joys to be a man . you may be living in a sky-scraper , reading the most fascinating novels, hearing the most renowned singers, looking at the most artistic paintings and you may be no better than a crow . for after all a crow builds ahigh nest, is most inquisitive is attracted to bright objects and loves noise. Your heart may be as black as crow , despite education and you may be ten times more dangerous because you possess far more resources and means to minister to the base desires of your carnal nature. Education is not complete till it does not refine the sensibilities , remove the savagery of heart and disciple the wild passions of man . so , in fact , the modern scientifically advanced man is only half-educated . he can read books but his mind is coarse . he sees atoms but his blind. His house is brilliantly lit but his soul gropes in the dark . He makes bombs to destroy his enemy , but has not been able to end his own savagery. Naturally, he cannot be at peace with himself or with the world. When we say this we are not belittling science and scientific achievements. We want to emphasise the important of ethical and spiritual values side by side with the advancement of scientific knowledge and research . science is absolutely the pivot on which civilization turns today. The more we probe into nature , the more we realize the infinitude of God’s creative power. The purposiveness of the universe is a recurring theme of the holy Quran. This coordination of the scientific spirit with faith in God is the special glory of islam and rescue us from the cruel clutches of gross materialism and rapacity dominating the so-called civilized countries of the West.
This gloomy picture of the modern man need not lead us to despair . education means the individual and collective shaping of man through eternal struggle and hardship. Life on his earth cannot always be fair weather and smooth sailing . Farid-ud-din Attar in his Bird parliament has elaborated the quranic precept of hopefulness and progress when he says:

“ for like a child sent with fluttering light
To feel his way along a gusty night
Man walks the world :again and yet again
The lamp shall be by fits of passion slain
But shall not He who sent him from the door
Relight the lamp once more and yet once more?
